Call for Artists
We’re looking for established and emerging artists to design our herd! Our iconic ox sculpture is synonymous with our city, and, with the breadth of history, culture and sights Oxford has to offer, there is inspiration for designs wherever you look.
Each sculpture will be sponsored by a local business or community group, who will choose the artwork for their ox from the submitted designs. If chosen, you will be paid £1,000 and your art will be shown to hundreds of thousands of people during the eight weeks of the trail.
To get started, please download the artist pack, which contains everything you need to know before submitting your moo-gnificent design(s) to us. Then fill out the artist submission form, and finally email your designs to oxtrailartists@sobellhospice.org.
Submissions close on 15 December, so there is plenty of time to think outside the ‘ox’ and help us to make OxTrail an event to remember.

Submission form
Thank you for your interest in submitting a design for OxTrail 2024. If you haven’t already, please download the artist pack, which contains the terms and conditions you will need to agree to.
Once you have completed the form, you can then submit your design files and any supporting documentation to Deborah at oxtrailartists@sobellhospice.org. Please note that you will need to fill out the form twice if you are submitting more than one design. If you have any questions or require support with your submission, please get in touch.
Due to email file size restrictions, we ask that you limit attachments to no more than 10 in number, and each file is a maximum of 5MB. Please ensure all file names include your name and the title of your design. For example, the file name could be: JoeBloggsDesign1-OxfordSpires.

Good luck! We look forward to receiving your design.
