OxTrail 2024 Raffle Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions are the Sobell House Hospice Charity Ltd’s (SHHC) OxTrail Raffle rules. By entering the raffle, entrants agree to be bound by these rules.

This raffle is defined as a ‘Small Society Lottery’ and has been registered with Oxford City Council.

The raffle is being operated by Sobell House Hospice Charity Ltd (1118646), Churchill Hospital, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7LE. The responsible person for the lottery is Beth Marsh, Director of Fundraising.

Rules and regulations

  1. To enter the raffle, you must be a UK resident, aged 16 or over. Tickets should not be purchased on behalf of someone who is underage.
  2. Raffle tickets shall be priced at £5 each. All entrants acknowledge that their payment of £5 per ticket does not guarantee that they will win any prize.
  3. Entries to the raffle are limited to 20 tickets per person.
  4. Raffle sales are final and refunds will be at the discretion of the charity.
  5. Employees of SHHC and Wild In Art, the Mythox artist, and their families are prohibited from taking part in this promotion.
  6. Entries into the draw closes on 10 September at 23.55pm. Tickets will be unavailable to purchase after this time.
  7. This raffle operates via the third-party platform, People’s Fundraising. The random draw will take place by randomly generating prize winners.
  8. The draw will take place on 11 September 2024 at 10.15am.
  9. Prize winners will be notified by telephone call. Failing this, winners will be notified by email. If we are unable to notify the winners within 7 working days, an alternative prize winner will be drawn at random. Entrants are solely responsible for providing SHHC with their accurate and up-to-date contact details. SHHC be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact any entrant due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details that the entrant has provided. In the event that an entrant changes their contact details, they will be solely responsible for updating us.
  10. Winning ticket numbers will be posted to oxtrail2024.co.uk/raffle-terms-and-conditions.
  11. Prizes are non-transferrable and there are no cash alternatives.
  12. Delivery of the Mythox Mini Ox sculpture will only be arranged to a mainland address within England. Winners outside of this area will be required to arrange their own courier.
  13. SHHC shall not be liable to the player for any loss or damage suffered or arising from:
  • Any delays or failures in the postal service or other delivery methods used by SHHC or the member from time to time.
  • Any failure to enter a chance into the draw.
  • Any event beyond the reasonable control of SHHC.
  1. Nothing within these terms and conditions shall create or should be construed as creating any form of contract between any entrant and SHHC.
  2. As part of our social responsibility, gambling policy and vulnerable persons policy, we reserve the right to refuse entry or refund purchased tickets to anyone suspected to be under the legal gambling age or if it is suspected that the entrant is not capable of making an informed decision.
  3. By entering this promotion, you give permission for SHHC to post your first name initial, surname and home town on our site should you win the promotion. The winners of our prizes may be required to participate in publicity.
  1. This raffle is a form of gambling and entrants are encouraged to gamble responsibly.   3. Any complaints relating to the raffle should be sent in writing or by email to SHHC (mail@sobellhospice.org) giving full details of the complaint and supporting documentation. A full copy of our comments and complaints policy is available on request. The Complainant may refer the matter to the Independent Betting Adjudication service (IBAS). IBAS acts as an impartial adjudicator on disputes that arise between gambling operators who are registered with IBAS and their customers). Complainants may register their complaint with them but only after SHHC’s internal complaints policy has been completed.
  4. SHHC is committed to protecting our supporter’s privacy. You can change your contact preferences at any time and update how we communicate with you, please contact our Supporter Care team on 01865 857007.   5. We will not sell, rent or grant access of any personal data to any third party.
  6. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, the decision of SHHC shall be final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
  7. SHHC reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. If this instance, we will publish the amended rules.
  8. SHHC reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these rules.
