I am inspired by colour, nature and its patterns to create illustrative and narrative art. Painting a 3D sculpture has been a great adventure! Cowmouflage represents the tensions between our inner and outer selves, with glimpses of a cow beneath the ox.
This cow in ox’s clothing also shows the blending of city with countryside. As a local artist, this feels like part of my everyday life.
Auction
After the trail ends, most of the life-sized oxen (and a selection of mini oxen) will be sold at a hoof-biting live auction to raise crucial funds for Sobell House Hospice.
The lucky new owners will then take their moo-gnificent ox to its forever home.
