Sandra Russell is a painter, illustrator and storyboard artist, working digitally for London advertising agencies and traditionally painting commissions and sculptures for Cambridge, St Andrews, Edinburgh and London.

Fragile’s inspiration came from the opposite characteristics of the strength of the ox and the fragility of seeing it as a porcelain statue. It also recalls the expression of ‘a bull in a china shop’ referring to being heavy-handed in a delicate situation.
